CONTROLLED MICROWAVE PHASE SHIFTER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2078392 C1

FIELD: microwave devices. SUBSTANCE: device has input arm, output arm, circuit for control signals, bridge unit, which has two pairs of isolated arms. One pair of arms of bridge unit is connected to input and output arms through capacitors. Each arm of another pair is connected to reflecting unit which has transmission line piece which is connected to bridge unit. In addition each reflecting unit has light-emitting diode, which one terminal is grounded. Polarity of grounded terminals of light-emitting diodes is equal for both reflecting units. Another terminal of light-emitting diodes is connected to transmission line piece which may be designed as transformer which steps down resistance. Device may be used as single unit or phase shifting unit for tuning and testing microwave devices in laboratories. Device may also be used in education for demonstration of operations of microwave devices. EFFECT: visual high-quality indication of control signal supply, variation of pase shift and detection of fault diode. 3 dwg
