CIRCULAR CROSSCUT SAW Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: woodworking, circular сrosscut saw is used for sawing of timber by cutting for disks, from which parquet cover is assembled, boards, wall panels and other facing coatings of board members of furniture. SUBSTANCE: Circular сrosscut saw has bed-frame, sawing joint with drive of rotation, replaceable drum with based tools and drive of feeding. In the case a based tool is a seat with longitudinal guides made in the form of cleat and bushing corresponding to cross-section profile of blank and mounted in lower part of drum. Apparatus of blanks positioning in respect to sawing shaft is capable to adjust height of pieces and has cam of loading and cam of size mounted independently from each other under drum on columns with capability to adjust and to fix their position in vertical plane in respect to sawing joint, that in the case has one saw. Mechanism of blanks pressing down at crosscut moment is made in the form of spring-loaded clamps with rollers, that are mounted opposite bushing of each seat and contact by their rollers cam of blanks clamp control at moment of blacks release over cam of loading and cam of size. Mechanism of blanks pressing down is mainly made so, as to be capable to come into action to clamp blanks in zone between cam of loading and cam of size providing clamping of blanks of no less than preliminary given size in height due to positioning of output part of cam of loading below its input part.
