METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF PARQUET PANELS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: woodworking industry. SUBSTANCE: method implies drying of blanks made from small merchantable wood, production of parquet articles by longitudinal sawing of blanks with formation of correct polygon in cross section with subsequent lateral sawing of thus produced half-product into end-faced parquet members. Parquet panels are assembled by simultaneous glueing of parquet members to each other on smooth underlayer and on base of single-layer cardboard. Then produced parquet panel together with base is subjected to compressive load until polymerization of glue. In other version, in assembling of panels, end-faced parquet members are connected to each other by pins. This method enhances wear-resistance of parquet, increases wood utilization factor, widens parquet application field and provides possibility of using cheep raw material - small merchantable wood left after maintenance cutting and on tree-felling areas.
