METHOD OF FLYING CORROSION INHIBITOR APPLICATION ON METAL SURFACE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: methods of metals protection against corrosion using inhibitors, the method is used in different branches of national economy, mainly for protection of gas-air zones of tanks used for oil products storing. SUBSTANCE: flying corrosion inhibitors are applied on metal surface by spraying in electrostatic field till achievement optimal for inhibitor charge density with following treatment of the surface with stream of ionizes gas, created by corona discharge. Method allows to achieve uniform distribution of inhibitor along protected surface. In the case inhibitor evaporation is decreased and its protective properties are improved, that causes prolongation of corrosion protection duration. EFFECT: decreased inhibitor evaporation, improved its protective properties, increased corrosion protection duration. 3 dwg
