FIELD: knitting machinery. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic device for selection of sinkers controlling operation of knitting needles on automatic flat knitting machine has electromagnet connected with sinker integral with carriage of the automatic knitting machine whose movable armature carries cylindrical member whose free head is rounded-off and enters the concave socket made in the head of working unit, and the other head of working unit integral with selecting member is directed to slide by this sinker. This unit is stabilized by flexible means intended also to counteract the unit motion when it is effected by armature. Excitation of electromagnet makes the selecting member set tom position of selection. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 cl, 4 dwg
