FIELD: hosiery production. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing tubular article in single-cylinder hosiery machine beginning from flexible edge and terminating at toe portion, which is left open; raising predetermined number of needles of first semi-row; performing further raising of needles to move required loops; raising predetermined number of needles to the same height together with needles of first semi-row; lowering needles of first semi-row; raising needles of second semi-row; successively joining semi-rows on predetermined number of needles, with cylinder being uniformly rotated and performing interrupted motions to provide for knitting by means of thread; making at least two fastening knots upon making terminating connecting loop; lowering needles of second semi-row to remove finished article.
