FIELD: mechanical engineering, particular, spinning wrenches for connection of drill pipes and casing pipes. SUBSTANCE: spinning wrench has lower body and upper body with built-in pipe gripping devices engageable through gears by the common shaft with drive. Lower and upper bodies are secured to each other by swing bolts and mounted on the plate of positioner upper base. Lower body is secured by bolts with the upper base and locked with retainer. Upper base lower part has cylindrical sleeve built in the sleeve of the lower base. Installed inside the cylindrical sleeve is hydraulic cylinder whose rod thrust the bottom of the lower base sleeve. Built in the lower base sleeve is retainer with pedal. Built in the lower body is rack mechanism and lock. EFFECT: simplified design, extended functional capabilities, improved performance, higher reliabilities and increased values of torque in making and breaking the pipe joints. 4 cl, 2 dwg
