OPTICAL SYSTEM OF LIGHT GUIDE JOINING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2079151 C1

FIELD: optical instrument engineering, can be used for joining of light guides, for instance, in medical endoscopes. SUBSTANCE: optical system of light guide joining device, for instance, in endoscopes has two groups of lenses 1,2 separated by an air gap so that the back focus of the first group of lenses 1 is in coincidence with the front focus of the second group of lenses 2. Positioned in the front focus of the first group of lenses 1 and in the back focus of the second group of lenses 2 is the outlet end of feeder light conduit 3 and the inlet end of receiving light conduit 4, respectively. Extreme lenses 5, 8 face the ends of light guides 3, 4 that are nearest to them with the flat sides, and inner lenses 6,7 face each other with the convex sides. EFFECT: facilitated procedure of light guide joining. 3 dwg
