FILTER FOR CLEANING WATER FROM MECHANICAL IMPURITIES IN PIPELINES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: water filtering in pressure pipelines. SUBSTANCE: filter can be used in emergency cooling system of nuclear reactor at high water flow speed in pipeline. Filter has hollow housing with inlet and outlet pipe unions located in longitudinal axis of housing, technological hand-hole with cover and filter element installed inside housing coaxially with pipe unions. Filter element is in the form of perforated shell with perforated bottom. Installed at filter element inlet are flow swirling blades. Filter element has internal perforated shell which is installed coaxially to external perforated shell. Flow swirling blades are stationary fixed on end face of internal perforated shell. Device prevents water hammer in filter if film-lime impurities penetrate inside it. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 dwg
