COMBINATION LOCK Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: locking devices; locks for external locking of doors. SUBSTANCE: combination lock has sleeve accommodating interlocking unit and coding unit having turning shaft connected with latch. Latch is located from the internal side of door in longitudinal recess of U-shaped body. Sleeve is installed in through hole of the door and has turning head for control of interlocking unit on the side of end coming out to the door external surface. To increase reliability of lock, recess of U-shaped body is of two-stage type and its width from the open side corresponding to the sleeve diameter, and from the closed side has the width corresponding to the width of latch and two longitudinal areas between stages. Ends of walls of recess of U-shaped body have supporting areas for installation of the body on the door. Protective body installed concentrically to turning head is made with tetrahedral side surface and with threaded sockets and in corners zones with places for fastening members. Installation of U-shaped body by means of longitudinal areas in the recess directly on the end of sleeve provides for accurate connection of latch with the shaft of coding unit.
