FIELD: domestic heating systems; heating systems used under field conditions and in case of natural calamity. SUBSTANCE: contact-type water heater has vertical cylindrical housing 1 where flame tube 2 with submersed burner 3 are coaxially mounted on cover of housing 1; water heater is also provided with circulating pipe 4 and separator end consisting of hemispherical shield 6 partially shutting-off escape of gaseous combustion products of fuel from circulating pipe 4, baffle rings 7 and separating rings 8; relative position of these rings form narrowing clearance in way of motion of hot waste gas escaping from water heater; flow of gas changes direction of its motion and enters next pair of rings; separated liquid is discharged by down-take pipes 10 connected with lower edge of separating rings 8 into circular clearance between housing 1 and circulating pipe 4 wherefrom it is directed to central chamber through holes available in lower portion of circulating pipe 4, thus closing the first circulating loop of heating liquid. Water being heated circulates via two-pass compartments of heat-exchange elements formed by hollow cylindrical walls of housing 1, circulating pipe 4 and flame tube 2 which are communicated by means of ring-shaped inlet compartment 11, intermediate compartment 12 and central outlet compartment 13 of hollow bottom of housing 1, as well as by bypass pipe 15. During operation of water heater, flow of hot waste gases of fuel combustion products is throttled forming additional hydraulic resistance, thus reducing speed of escape of these gases from liquid and consequently reducing losses of heat and liquid and increasing capacity of water heater and range of its control. EFFECT: increased capacity due to increased heat exchange surface formed by two-pass chambers of cylindrical walls of housing 1, circulating pipe 4 and flame tube 2. 2 cl, 2 dwg
