FIELD: heat-power engineering; heating of water and generation of steam. SUBSTANCE: fuel is burnt at excess-air coefficient of 1.5 to 2.0. Combustion products formed in course of burning of fuel are passed through layer of intermediate heat-transfer agent forming water-steam-gas flow which is heated transmitting its heat to water being heated through wall of heat exchanger 6. Then water-steam-gas flow is throttled at excessive pressure maintained within 0.02 to 0.005 MPa above layer, after which flow is separated and returned to layer. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
