FIELD: electronic equipment for O-type microwave oscillators. SUBSTANCE: gun unit with electrodes secured in it is placed in an exhaust bulb, the gun is switched on and its volt-ampere characteristic is measured. Then the gun is extracted from the bulb, location of the anode relative to the cathode is corrected so as to attain the required volt-ampere characteristic, and the gun anode is finally secured.
