FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electronics, in particular, to multibeam miniature "transparent" multi-mode traveling-wave tubes (TWT). Device contains multibeam electron gun, slow-wave structure (SS) of connected resonators chain type, collector, inlet and outlet of microwave energy, and also magnet focusing system that contains transversely magnetised permanent magnets that are installed in two opposite sides of every of two pole tips (PN) TWT perpendicularly to inlet and outlet of microwave energy and closed with magnetic conductor. Flat diaphragms of SS are made without drift tunnels and have through holes that form straight channels and communication windows. At least two of SS diaphragms are arranged as double-layer, at that one of diaphragm layers is made of soft magnetic material and serves as rectifier of magnetic field. Distance between cathode and collector PN, distance between every PN and rectifier of magnetic field located on the side of this PN, diameter of straight channels and distance from the center of straight channel that is most distant from SS axis to the closest edge of communication slot in diaphragm are determined based on preset conditions.
EFFECT: increase of level of output pulse and average power with simultaneous provision of simplicity, manufacturability and small dimensions of equipment.
