FIELD: medicine, prophylaxis and treatment of wounds and wound-induced infections. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises electric discharge chamber which is additionally provided with set of changeable head pieces and with reflecting screen of concave hemispherical shape. Screen is mated and electrically connected to working part of rod electrode. Electric discharge chamber also comprises circular electrode which divides chamber interior into three compartments, namely: upper, middle and lower ones. Upper compartment is defined by reflecting screen of hemispherical shape, by inner side of circular electrode, and by portion of inner surface of cylindrical casing of discharge-producing assembly, in which one or several openings are formed with total area $$$, where $$$ is area of discharge gap in horizontal section plane. Middle compartment is defined by discharge gap between working portion of rod electrode and inner surface of circular electrode, and lower compartment is defined by lower side of circular electrode and by inner surface of replaceable head pieces. The latter are additionally provided with magnetic trap in form of ring made of magnetic material such as samarium-cobalt alloy. Discharge chamber is further provided with additional set of replaceable head pieces one of which has protective hemispherical net screen, other head piece has nozzle conjugated with diffuser and third head piece is formed with transparent quartz washer with coaxially arranged nozzle. Invention makes it possible to enhance efficiency of treating infected wounds due to adopting multiple alternative approaches for treating them at various stages (phases) of wound-healing process within single treatment cycle, to improved operation of electric-gas converter due to increased reliability of electrode system and to reduced formation of products resulting from electric erosion and thermomechanical destruction of materials of electrode system.
