METHOD OF TREATMENT OF POSTOPERATIVE CAVITIES OF MIDDLE EAR AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2076750 C1

FIELD: medicine, in particular, otorhinolaryngology, can be used in postoperative period for treatment of middle ear injured cavities. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that audio-frequency ultrasound acts on the injected surface of the middle ear cavity through an intermediate medicinal solution; circular intermittent insonification is accomplished at an amplitude of vibrations of the radiating end within 30 to 50 um, exposure to ultrasonic treatment - with 20 to 60 s at pulse duty factor 2:1 (ultrasonic action 0 10s, 5-s pause). The method can be realized with the aid of a device using an acoustic assembly with a waveguide - instrument connected to it, located in a housing made in the form of a stepped cylinder with a tubular limiter rigidly installed on its one end, and a funnel pressed in by a fluoroplastic bush made for movement and installation on the tubular limiter, and a position locator conjugate to the fluoroplastic bush; the working part of the tubular limiter is perforated and furnished with a window on the lateral surface on the side facing the radiating end of the waveguide - instrument; the fluoroplastic bush has a toothed flange for conjugation of its teeth with the locator fixing member. The slit limiting funnel is made of elastic-deformed material, and the locator is furnished with clips with an L-shaped catch on its ends; the clips are hinge-joined to a bracket linked with the acoustic assembly, and the fixing member is made in the form of a wedge. EFFECT: reduced period of postoperative treatment, prevented complications on the side of the middle and internal ears at insonification. 5 cl, 5 dwg
