FIELD: separating materials. SUBSTANCE: centrifuge has housing, conical rotor mounted on the vertical shaft and provided with a cover with an opening for discharging heavy fraction, baffle that underlies the cover and defines a chamber for discharging heavy fraction together with the cover connected with the zone of separating of the rotor through an opening, pipe for discharging light fraction from the zone of separation, transporting means positioned in the bottom portion of the rotor and used for supplying initial mixture, and fixed tubular scraper member for moving the heavy fraction in the chamber. The centrifuge is provided with a device for supplying compressed air to the chamber for discharging heavy fraction. The fixed tubular scraper member is connected to the device and is provided with a facility for control of the flow rate of the gas supplied to the zone of the chamber arranged near the opening.
