FIELD: chemical, food and other industries. SUBSTANCE: centrifuge has housing with suspension intake chamber and collectors of centrifugate and sediment light fraction with outlet branch pipes, conical rotor with cover installed on vertical shaft, cover being provided with overflow hole; found in lower part of rotor communicating with intake chamber is transporting device; arranged inside rotor under cover is separating disk which forms, together with cover, a collecting chamber for light and heavy fractions of sediment furnished with outlet hole; device to let centrifugate out of zone of separation of rotor and tube to let out heavy fraction of sediment which has intake section with inlet hole arranged in above-indicated separation chamber, and outlet section. Intake section of this tube is rectangular in cross section and is installed so that one of its larger side walls is arranged in one plane with axis of rotation of rotor at side opposite to on-coming sediment flow and it has inlet hole in this wall. Axis of hole is arranged on radius from axis of rotation found from following equation: where r1 - radius of cover overflow hole; r2 - radius of axis of intake section hole; Ey - value of Euler number for liquid flow rate in zone of inlet hole of intake section.
