FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: to manufacture wear-resistant parts from surface-alloyed steels, one prepares powder stock and infiltrate containing copper and alloying elements, whereupon stock is baked and impregnated with infiltrate and simultaneously alloyed. In this case, powder stock and infiltrate are preliminarily pressed. Alloyed is only surface layer of stock. Alloying and impregnation are conducted simultaneously with baking at 1150-1200 C for 1-2 h. EFFECT: improved antifriction characteristics and simplified manufacturing parts. 1 tbl
