FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely production of constructional and wear-resistant parts in machine engineering, instrument making, textile and other industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method for making powder articles of enhanced rigidity and size accuracy comprises steps of preparing charge, pressing at relatively low pressure, preliminary baking, secondary baking and final baking; after final baking performing additional sizing and dressing combined with quenching process and tempering. Both pressing steps and quenching combined with sizing and dressing are realized in the same press mold. Method allows to make powder articles of high accuracy according to 8-9 quality ranks with rigidity no less than 45-50 HRC at keeping demands concerning to planeness and parallelism of outer surfaces. EFFECT: enhanced quality of products.
