GEODETIC BEACON AND DEVICE FOR ITS INSTALLATION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: geodetic instrument engineering and space geodesy. SUBSTANCE: geodetic beacon has a cylindrical base with tapered grooves and heads, in which an antenna or cap are alternately installed, an adapter connecting the geodetic beacon base and antenna. The head has a threaded blind hole, and the adapter has a tail-piece on the lower end located bellow the threaded shoulder. The geodetic beacon is installed with the aid of a device consisting of aligned carrier 18, spring plate 16 and mounting plate 12 joined by three adjusting screws 15 and having central hole 19. Central hole 19 receives a replaceable working bush and mounting bar 23 with bearing bush 24 on the top and geodetic beacon 22 on the lower end, and fastening members. Carrier 18 is made in the form of a reinforced bush, with shoulders 26 for installation of bearing bush 24 to be found in the upper inner part, and a recess - on the outer part to receive adjusting screws 15. Positioned in central hole 19 of carrier 18 is mounting bar 23, whose lower end has a male thread for its installation in the blind hole of geodetic beacon 22 during installation and fastening of the latter in a ground hole, and the upper end of bar 23 has head 29 with level 30 on the upper pad. Bearing bush 24 with its bosses 25 rests on shoulders 26 made in the inner part of carrier 18 and placed there with gap 27, which makes it possible to displace the mounting bar with geodetic beacon 22. For rigid attachment of the whole device in the ground, it is furnished with fastening members located in a spaced relation in holes 31 drilled in mounting plate 12. Each fastening member consists of external bush 32 with an eccentric threaded hole, hexagon head 33 located above mounting plate 12 and washer 34 located at the bottom of the mounting plate, and inner bush 35 positioned in the eccentric threaded hole. Rod 37 is installed in the hole of the inner bush to fix the mounting plate in the ground by pressing the lower end of rod 37 to the walls of holes 2 drilled in the ground beforehand.
