FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: high-temperature superconductor has conductive element based on mixture of ceramic oxides manufactured in the form of laminate and its carrier - metal tube. Conductive element is located in wall of tube. Methods of manufacture of high-temperature superconductor are based on formation of tube from strip with mixture of ceramic oxides, on welding of its edges with formation of longitudinal weld and on thermal treatment of tube to impart it with superconductive properties. One of methods includes following operations to make strip: holes made in thick-wall metal body of small length are injected with ceramic oxides in the form of powder or granules, then body is expanded into strip. Second method provides for following operations: metal profiled body with depressions or grooves is injected with ceramic oxides, these depressions or grooves are covered by metal profile and obtained body is expanded into strip. Next method is based on arrangement of metal conductors on profiled body, space between them is filled with oxides which are covered and prepared multilayer billet is expanded into strip. In agreement with last method conductors made from silver shells inside which ceramic oxide core is placed are put into metal envelope, produced profiled body is expanded into strip. EFFECT: increased reliability of protection of ceramic oxide material from mechanical injury, provision for constant contact with metal matrix. 5 cl, 7 dwg
