FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, superconducting cables with a cryogenic shell, in particular, to the method of producing the super conducting cable consisting of a cable core containing, at least, one elongated super conducting element and a flexible pipe enveloping the cable core. The said method includes the following stages, a) a continuous unwinding a cable core from the cable source, b) a continuous unwinding metal band from the band source, c) a continuous arrangement of the said band around to form a pipe, sealing the lengthwise seam and subsequent corrugating the sealed pipe. Here, note that the corrugated pipe inner diameter exceeds the cable core outer diameter, d) winding the superconducting cable made up of the cable core and corrugated pipe onto cable drum or laying the said cable in, at least, one coil, e) mechanical connection of the ends of cable core with those of the corrugated pipe, the cable being either wound up on the drum or laid in, at least, in one coil.
EFFECT: eliminating the shrinkage of cable core caused by reduction in temperature.
