FRUIT PICKER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for manual harvesting of fruits, such as apples, pears and like fruits. SUBSTANCE: fruit picker has fruit receiving ring with accumulating container. Ring is fixed on pole by means of holder and is inclined to axis of pole for an angle of 75-85 deg. Y-shaped gripping recess of ring is provided with retaining slot for tearing off fruit stem. Leg of stocking is used as accumulating container and protected from outside by film hose. Inner surface of ring is coated with sponge rubber. Pole part positioned at the level of lower edge of accumulating container is also covered with sponge rubber. Such construction allows fruits to be picked without damage and separated without shaking. Polyethylene hose protects accumulating container from clinging branches. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and improved quality of picked fruits. 2 cl, 3 dwg
