FIELD: medical engineering, equipment for patients suffering from heavy burns. SUBSTANCE: mattress comprises base 1 in the form of tubular framework consisting of backing elements 2 and bed 3. The latter is formed by plurality of sections 4 mounted on transverse tubular guideways 5 attached to longitudinally extending pipes 6. Sections 4 are made in the form of rectangularly shaped elastic chambers having at their lower corners semicircular recesses 7 adapted to receive transverse tubular guideways 5. Each section 4 has its individual energy supply means. In process of operation any or several sections 4 can be taken off by moving them along tubular guideways 5, or, alternatively, sections can be positioned wherever necessary.
