FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely methods for cleaning metallurgical vessels such as ladle cars and steel teeming ladles from crusts. SUBSTANCE: before receiving hot metal in ladle, lining is heated up to 100-300 C. Then inculation layer in the form of mixture of carboniferous powder and liquid glass is applied onto it. Said layer has density 1.18-1.22 g/cm cubic, thickness 15-25 mm and it does not sinter with ladle lining and slag. EFFECT: easy removal of slag crusts by mechanical way.
