FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely casting metals, ferroalloys, master alloys. SUBSTANCE: method for making ladle lining comprises steps of pouring or packing gap between sweep and ladle lining with refractory mass; before pouring or packing refractory mass heating ladle until temperature no more than 100^o C; subjecting refractory mass to vibration after each step of filling ladle by 1/4 of its height; performing stepwise heating and drying of lining at different values of temperature, speed and curing period; treating lining by melt cast iron. When temperature of cast iron lowers, dispersed graphite separates from it and saturates pores of lining. Slag land of refractory brick is introduced into upper portion of ladle. Refractory mass used for making lining contains (mass%): (75-84) of disintegrated quartzite, (2-8) of slag of ferrovanadium production and (14-21) of liquid glass. Disintegrated quartzite includes mixture of different fractions. Ladle for transporting liquid metal includes body and lining made according to invention.
