FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, engine engineering, exhaust mufflers of internal combustion engines, applicable in internal combustion engines, both carburetor and Diesel ones (moving on ground, water, and stationary). SUBSTANCE: the system has a body, inlet pipe connection, Laval nozzle, thermocouples connected to a storage battery, vortex adjustable tube, annular Laval nozzles in which guides are installed on the expanding tapered surfaces to impart opposite motions of gases in the path of expanded helix to gas flows; and the thermoelectric generator is connected to the storage battery with the aid of a diode. Cold junctions of thermocouples of the thermoelectric generator are cooled by an incoming air flow with the aid of the Laval nozzle or by liquid. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of system, improved utilization of worthless heat energy by turning part of it into electric one for charging the storage battery, prevented discharge of storage battery into thermoelectric generator. 3 cl, 2 dwg
