FIELD: fault detection; remote location of leaks in pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: device has two-zone observation unit whose output is connected with two processing channels: infra-red imager channel and TV channel which includes amplifier-signal shaper and first analog-to- digital converter connected in series. Infra-red imager channel includes the following components connected in series: switch, nonzero compensation circuit, second analog-to-digital converter and two multiplexers between which two buffer storages are connected. Outputs of both channels are connected to inputs of on-line storage also connected with computer unit and multiplexer which is connected with input of register through digital-to-analog converter.
