FIELD: firearm with a loose breechblock. SUBSTANCE: at a shot the cartridge case is pressed to the walls of the tapered cartridge chamber under the action of powder gases pressed in the rifles whose bottom is made in the generator of the cone. Acting on the cartridge case bottom, powder gases impart motion to the loose breechblock; due to kinematic coupling of the helical lugs formed on the cartridge case with the cartridge chamber rifles, only part of the momentum of powder gases is transmitted to the breechblock, and an incomplete motion is imparted to the breechblock.
