Abstract RU 2081443 C1

FIELD: molecular electronics, optoelectronic devices. SUBSTANCE: liquid-crystal device incorporates two liquid-crystal cells mounted in sequence. Each cell includes transparent plates placed in parallel with clear electrodes on internal side. Between them film of ferroelectric liquid crystal encapsulated with polymer is placed. Molecules of liquid crystal in drops are oriented predominantly in one direction in plane of film. Directions of electric field in both cells are opposite. Proposed device can have transparent plate with clear electrodes on both sides common for both cells. EFFECT: improved functional stability. 1 dwg
