FIELD: vacuum-tube microwave devices with permanent magnet focusing system. SUBSTANCE: O-type device has electron gun 1, electrodynamic system 2, magnets 3 with gun and collector pole shows 4 and 5 respectively, collector system with collector 6, magnetic field converter 7 placed coaxially to electron beam between collector 6 and collector pole shoe 5. Converter functions to convert bell-shaped dissipation magnetic field 8 into heavily irregular distributed field 9 with three high-field-level regions separated by two low-field-level regions. In order to produce magnetic field distribution, converter may be made by introducing two or more magnetic parts 7 between collector 6 and its closest pole shoe 5 placed coaxially in tandem with nonmagnetic intervals between them. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of device and electron efficiency due to increased degree of focusing of electron beams in collector region. 2 cl, 7 dwg
