FIELD: vacuum-tube microwave devices. SUBSTANCE: focusing system has gun and collector pole shoes 1 and 2, respectively, made of nonretentive material and mounted on ends of nonmagnetic shell 3 accommodating coaxially arranged electrodynamic system 4, shaped bushing 5 of nonretentive material placed in central hole of end wall of gun pole shoe 1, shaped bushing 6 of nonretentive material placed in central hole of end wall of collector pole shoe 2, radially magnetized gun and collector annular magnetic blocks 7 mounted on gun and collector pole shows 1 and 2, magnetic part 8 coaxially mounted inside gun pole shoe 1. The latter also houses cathode 9. End of shaped gun bushing 5 closest to end of gun pole shoe 1 is shifted along axis into end wall of pole shoe 1 through Δp distance; end of collector shaped bushing 6 protrudes along axis from end wall of collector pole shoe 2 towards middle part of device work area through Δк distance. EFFECT: improved output and performance characteristics of device due to gradually increasing focusing magnetic field from gun to collector pole shoe. 2 dwg
