CONTACT TRAY FOR VORTEX HEAT- AND MASS-TRANSFER APPARATUSES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: devices for vortex heat- and mass-transfer apparatuses involved in conduction of processes of absorption, rectification and distillation. SUBSTANCE: the offered contact tray has on its surface a contact branch pipe with multislot vortex generator installed inside it and baffle above it. Baffle has inner and outer cylinders located coaxially to contact branch pipe installed in a spaced relation to tray surface. Lower cut of outer cylinder of baffle is located above liquid level in tray. Installed in circular space between outer cylinder of baffle and contact branch pipe is contact packing with end edges tightly fitted to walls. Contact packing is made in form of spiral band, or in form of radially arranged plates, or in form of horizontally located layer of catalyst. EFFECT: increased efficiency of heat- and mass- transfer of contact tray and range of stable operation and excluded secondary splash entrainment from under baffle. 4 cl, 4 dwg
