FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices used for concentration of solutions of acids, and can be used in various areas of the chemical industry, in particular in the process of denitration of waste sulfur-nitric acid mixtures in the production of cellulose nitrates and explosives. Acid concentration column includes composite case 1 of the sockets, separated by a height of horizontal plates 11, each of which is equipped with swirler 12 with lid 13, gas pipe 15 and acid overflow pipe 16, located on housing 1, acid inlet pipe 5, 6, lid 3 with gas outlet pipe 7 and bottom 4 with gas inlet pipe 8, acid output 10 and acid discharge 9, the lower part of swirler 12 and the upper part of gas pipe 15 have tangential slots 14, 18, the lower part of the gas pipe - tangential holes 17, the direction of rotation of tangential holes 17 and tangential slots 18 of gas pipe 15 coincides with the direction of rotation of tangential slots 14 of swirler 12, the lower sections of tangential slots 18 of gas nozzle 15 are above tangential slots 14 of swirler 12, and the upper sections of slots 18 of gas nozzle 15 abut against lid 13 of swirler 12, the upper cut of acid overflow nozzle 16 is located between the upper cut of tangential slots 14 of swirler 12 and the lower cut of tangential slots 18 of gas nozzle 15, lid 13 of swirl 12 has a concave shape, the lower edge of lid 13 is located below tangential slots 18 of gas pipe 15. Internal cavity of the device and the elements located inside are made of a corrosion-resistant plastic material such as fluoroplast-4. Lid 13 of swirl 12 can be made in the form of a paraboloid of rotation, a circular cone of rotation or a hemisphere of rotation. Fluoroplastic plate 11 is additionally equipped with split ring stiffness 19.

EFFECT: proposed column provides an increase in heat and mass transfer efficiency by increasing the contact surface of the gas and liquid phases, reducing the hydraulic resistance and increasing the range of stable operation with changes in gas and liquid loads, while the column is safe and reliable in long-term operation.
