HEAT-INSULATING MIXTURE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: metallurgy, heat-insulating mixture is used in process of steel casting into ingot moulds and crystallizers. SUBSTANCE: heat-insulating mixture has foamed perlite and carbon-bearing material, in the capacity of which remains of wood hydrolytic processing - production wastes are used. In the case, ratio of components is, mass % : foamed perlite 30 - 75, wood hydrolytic processing remains 25 -70. Proposed heat-insulating mixture, as compared with known mixtures, provides lasting high heat-insulating properties, increased quality of ingots surface, utilization of industrial wastes. EFFECT: heat-insulating mixture has lasting high heat-insulating properties, allows to increase quality of ingots surface and utilization of industrial wastes.
