FIELD: extraction of rare metals and alkali metals by extraction. SUBSTANCE: scandium-containing solution of aluminium chloride is treated by solution which comprises 20-30 g/l Fe and 5-10 vol % of carboxylic acid. Scandium is reextracted by mixture of 3 N HCl and 3 N H2SO4. If origin solution comprises lithium then initially reextraction with 6 N HCl is carried out.
