FIELD: extraction of vanadium of catalysts of sulfuric acid production. SUBSTANCE: uncrushed vanadium catalyst is leached with water, the process is carried out at temperature not more 30 C in the presence of reduction agent. Sulfur dioxide is used as said reduction agent. Vanadium (IV) is extracted of thus prepared solution with the help of organo-mineral mixture in aliphatic solvent. Said mixture comprises di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid and potassium hydroxide, their quantities being 0.55-60 moles and 0.54-0.61 moles respectively. Then reextraction by 1 M sulfuric acid is carried out, vanadium is precipitated with the help of alkaline solution. EFFECT: improved efficiency of the method. 2 cl
