FIELD: gasification of secondary wooden or vegetable raw materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus comprises hopper 23 and gasification chamber 24. Vertical pipes 22, lower ends of which are secured to chamber 24 wall, pass through hopper 23 for removal of water vapors from hopper 23 to gasification chamber 24. At end of working shift, water is circulated through pipes 22 to remove slag. Water supply conduit 10 is disposed above hopper 23 and is connected to water cooler 33 jacket. Heat insulating enclosure 3 around gasification chamber and hopper is formed with double metal walls and has gas ducts 5 and 6. Gas generator has supporting bottom 1 made of steel sheets. Gas ducts 5 are connected to jacket of air heat exchanger 31 and, therefore, preheated air flowing from heat exchanger 31 jacket is additionally heated in gas ducts 5.
