FIELD: laser location, communication, data transmission and storage systems, laser process plants for high-precision material treatment. SUBSTANCE: scanning laser has active element placed in two-mirror cavity, time-space optical modulator installed near second mirror of cavity and made in the form of cavity internal electrically control plate with linear gate electrodes, and pumping source. Novelty is that laser is provided in addition with hollow polarizer placed between time-space optical modulator plate and active element and made in the form of polarizing divider with third partially transmitting mirror installed alone reflected radiation component and forming confocal cavity with first mirror, as well as two quarter-wave plates mounted on either side of polarizer; cavity is confocal device with fully reflecting mirrors; linear gate electrodes of time-space optical modulator are inclined through 45 deg. to polarizer transmission plane.
