FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining points of final setting on the opposite arms of a rest being equidistant from the bearing tooth model convexity line by means of special purpose device before modelling the rests. Being drawn in the direction symmetrically oriented with respect to the convexity line, the distance defines points on bearing surface of a tooth the rest has to touch when introducing the prosthesis. The method involves making imprint from jaw, producing working model, orienting the model in space, drawing the convexity lines over it and modelling the supporting and holding rest. Special kind of pointer is used to determine the points of final setting on the opposite arms of the rest being equidistant from the bearing tooth convexity line. The device has base 10, cantilever 12, rod 13 attached to cantilever 12, final setting marker unit 6 of rest 7 and movable desk 2. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of production process. 3 cl, 1 dwg
