MIXING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mixing of suspensions at gradient of concentration of solid phase in height of apparatus when bladed stirrer is required in sediment layer. SUBSTANCE: mixing device has housing with cover, vertical shaft with blades on its lower end and motion thread on upper end. Hollow shaft which is coaxial to above-mentioned shaft is connected with it for relative motion and reciprocating. Sealing member of varying length connecting shaft surfaces is mounted in section of their relative motion. Inner shaft is provided with hoisting mechanism. Sealing member is made in form of flexible envelope which is just truncated cone whose lesser base is screwed inside envelope and is tightly connected with one of coaxial shafts and larger base is tightly connected with other shaft. Cavity of envelope is brought in communication with cavity of housing by means of connecting passage. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 10 cl, 6 dwg
