FIELD: high and ultrahigh pressures giving rise to chemical or physical modification of substances. SUBSTANCE: device has body with spherical cavity accommodating spherical elastic shell. Body and shell consist of two parts. Parts of shell are secured to respective parts of body to form primary pressure chamber with two isolated cavities. Located inside shell are punches, whose external parts are truncated pyramids in shape with spherical large base and located with gaps between their side surfaces in which flexible members are arranged. Internal parts of punches coming in contact with external parts are also located with gaps between side surfaces in which deformed spacers are located, and high-pressure chamber is formed. Gaps between the external parts of punches are sealed by shields, and internal parts have means for their holding in the preset position relative to each other. This means is adapted for simultaneous installation and dismantling of all internal parts and material thus simplifying and accelerating of assembly-disassembly. EFFECT: higher efficiency of device, high reproducibility of conditions of material compression and possibility for mechanization and automation of assembly-disassembly operations. 24 cl, 27 dwg
