AUTOMOBILE ANTITHEFT SYSTEM Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; protection of passenger cars, trucks and passenger-and-cargo vehicles from unauthorized use. SUBSTANCE: mounted on small-size portable control panel at hand of driver are control signal shaping processor unit and first receiver-transmitter. Second receiver-transmitter, interrogation processor unit and control signal analyzing unit, starting unit, door and brake pedal position pickups, OR and NOT gates and door and ignition circuit interlock members are mounted on automobile. Control panel is set for constant reception of signals from main automobile part of system which provides for SEARCH, CHECK and STOP modes. Under SEARCH mode in automobile with system switched on locks of all doors and ignition system circuit are interlocked and periodical search of control panel is effected by sending radio pulses. When user approaches the automobile, control panel generates code signals in pauses between received signals. Main part is changed over into CHECK mode at which all interlock members are released and information exchange with control panel takes place at lower frequency. With ignition switch turned on, main part changes to STOP mode at which there is no information exchange with control panel, and doors and ignition circuit are unlocked. If driver is forced to get out of automobile, system automatically returns to SEARCH mode and interlock members interlock all doors and ignition circuit.
