FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: mixture adapted to be hardened by heating contains silica gel or silica gel production wastes used as binder. Silica gel content in mixture is 0.37-1.05% by weight. Silica gel is product of reaction between sodium silicate and sulfurous acid. Silica gel production wastes are unconditioned fraction for manufacture of commercial products and have the same composition. Mixture contains calcium stearate in an amount of 0.05-0.1% by weight preventing the mixture from adherence to heating device wall. Mixture is prepared by mixing quartz sand with calcium stearate with following introduction of silica gel or silica gel production wastes, which have been preliminarily solved in alkali. EFFECT: improved quality of mixture by reduced collapsibility and sticking ability and increased ecology control. 2 tbl
