FIELD: transport engineering; friction clutches. SUBSTANCE: friction unit engagement rate regulator and preliminary pressure drop valve are placed in one housing 3 for the sake of unification of device. Support 4 and seat 5 of valve are made in form of pistons and are arranged in housing for axial travel. Spring 6 is placed between support and seat. Seat is installed for movement between support and shutoff member of valve and is pressed by above indicated spring to shutoff member. Hollow rod 8 of shutoff member 7 is made integral with seat 9 of regulator outlet valve and is rigidly connected with support 4. Other spring is placed between support and plate secured on valve shutoff member rod. Regulator housing is provided with support travel limiter, outlet valve seat travel limiter and stop. Equalizing spring is placed between stop and above indicated support. Rod of outlet valve shutoff member is mechanically coupled with part of other device. Position (movement) of this part is predetermined by speed of engine crankshaft. In diesel engine rod is mechanically coupled with fuel injection pump control rack. Owing to provision of units of proposed design, their inertia and equalizing spring acting onto units passage area between shutoff member and seat of outlet valve can be changed, i.e. pressure reduction speed in servo- cylinder (chamber) can be regulated and consequently mode of clutch engagement (smoothness of engagement) can be controlled to suit riding conditions of vehicle as driver wishes.
