FIELD: prevention of foam formation in aqueous and non-aqueous media in various industries. SUBSTANCE: process comprises preparing foam suppressing polyorganosiloxanes by cohydrolysis, while healing mixture of trimethyl chlorosilane, silicon tetrachloride and hydrolysis product of dimethyl chlorosilane or constituents thereof as cyclic or linear products calculated as structural unit SSP at ratio of (0.02-0.03) and (0.2-0.3) mole per 1 mole of (CH₃)₂SiO which includes hydrolysis product fragments in the presence of higher fatty C₇- C₉ or C₈- C₁₀ alcohols, or 2-ethylhexyl alcohol in organic solvent.
