FIELD: fuels for internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: objective of invention is to reduce maintenance charge of carburetor engines my means of using inexpensive gasolines and decreasing toxicity of exhaust gas at the expense of fuel mixture depletion and possible decrease in lead content in ethylized fuel. Objective is achieved by introducing napalm (thickened or solidified fuel) into gasoline that makes possible combating engine detonation due to increasing detonation stability of depleted mixtures (slower burning) without dimensioning jets by way of controlling fuel input through increasing its viscosity. Method is fit to be used in different carburetor engines: consumption of napalm is small, jets are not clogged, and combustion of somewhat less pulverized fuel is not markedly impaired. EFFECT: reduced operating cost and exhaust toxicity with no loss in working characteristics.
