FIELD: cryogenic reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: cryogenic reservoir has casing where inner heat-insulated vessel is located forming heat-insulated chamber and cartridge provided with porous gas-permeable filter and chemical hydrogen absorber. Cartridge is made in form of cylindrical housing provided with transverse partition dividing the housing into two chambers which are brought in communication by means of automatic vacuum valve; both porous filter and chemical hydrogen absorber are located in one chamber of housing; other chamber being brought in communication with heat-insulated chamber of reservoir. Prior to placing the chemical absorber in heat-insulated chamber of cryogenic reservoir and prior to placing the cartridge in heat-insulated chamber, valve is opened by means of technological threaded screw, thus bringing the chamber containing the chemical absorber in communication with volume of vacuum furnace, then activation is performed, after which cartridge is placed in inert gas medium, for example, in nitrogen and then valve returned to initial position by means of threaded screw.
