FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method includes dipping of ball probe having radius P and density ρ into liquid with initial velocity Vo, measurement of coordinate L or velocity V or acceleration dv/dt across section of accelerated movement at time moment t and evaluation of time constant of exponent T of accelerated movement as solving of corresponding equation. Measurements are carried out at decreased velocities with insertion of counterweight coupled to probe by rope passed over drum. Viscosity is calculated by formula .
